The week of January 24, 1995, the House Judiciary Committee will take up HR 3, The Republican Crime Bill. Although, there are many worthwhile proposals in this piece of legislation, it is lacking one important iten: The Repeal of the 1994 Gun Ban which passed on the Clinton Crime Bill. It appears that there is some reluctance on the part of the Republican leadership to include the GUN BAN REPEAL on the Republican Crime Bill. We are being told that another bill, later in the 104th Congress will be brought to the floor to repeal the GUN BAN. It is important that the GUN BAN REPEAL be included in this bill and any Crime measure until it becomes law. Your help is urgently needed NOW. Please call your Representative and ask that they contact the Republican leadership and request that a repeal of the GUN BAN (all provisions) be included in HR 3 in the Judiciary Committee and that they support in on the floor of the US House of Representatives.
