California:

Yesterday, Sen. Roberti's version of the proposed federal gun
ban, Senate Bill X46, was voted out of the Assembly Public Safety
Committee on a 4-3 vote. It now goes to the Assembly Ways & Means
Committee for consideration. Sen. Hayden's SB 822, prohibiting law
enforcement authorities from selling seized firearms, may be up for
reconsideration either today or tomorrow by the Assembly Ways and
Means Committee.

AB X24 (imposing taxes on firearms and ammunition), AB X120 &
AB X121 (gun buy-back programs) were pulled off the Assembly Ways
and Means Committee file. All three bills failed on their first
vote in July, but had been granted reconsideration.
