August 3, 1994 Update:

The expected vote in the US House of Representatives on the
Conference Reported Crime Bill has been delayed until tomorrow
August 4. This move indicates that the Clinton Adminstration is
concerned that the Crime Bill does not have the votes to pass in the
House and is attemting to shore up more support.

NRA Members and gun owners are urged to re-call and/or re-fax their
Representatives and urge them to vote against the Rule. A vote on
the Rule is a procedural vote. If the rule is NOT adopted the Crime
Bill will be sent back to Conference for further negotiations.

If the Rule is voted favorably then there will be a vote on the
Conference version of the Crime Bill. Therefore also be sure to
request that your representative vote against the Crime Bill itself.

Also please call your two US Senators and ask that they support a
filibuster against the Crime Bill as well as voting against the Crime
Bill.

The Congressional switchboard telephone number is 202-224-3121!
