Subject: ANTIS: Friday the 13th!


  A nationally recognized expert on reducing violence will speak Friday,
October 13 on understanding violence prevention as a public health issue.
  Dr. Chukwudi Onwuachi-Saunders will discuss "Interpersonal Violence:
Framing Community Solutions" at 7:30 p.m. in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert
Hall, 1037 S.W. Broadway, Portland, Oregon. The lecture is sponsored by
Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research.
  Onwuachi-Saunders is a medical epidemiologist at the National Center for
Injury Prevention and Control of the CDC.
  A panel of four people from the Portland area will comment on the lecture
and provide community perspectives on violence.
  Tickets to the lecture are free, but limited in number. Tickets will be
mailed out on a first-requested, first-served basis by calling 503/335-6776.
