The latest Computer World (a computer trade magazine) has posted a
small article called "PCs for Pistols."

This is a program sponsored by the Boston-based, non-profit, East West
Foundation which recycles old computers for school use.

Students turn in armaments to obtain computer systems for their
schools.

The ad states a possible turn-in formula w/3 scenarios:

1) Turn in a "handgun" or "pistol" (is there a difference here?) and
your school will receive an "XT system w/printer."

2) Turn in a "shotgun" or a "rifle", kiddies, and your school will get
an "AT system w/modem and printer."

3) Turn in your "automatic weapon" (it doesn't say "semi-", and shows a
color charicature of an Uzi), and your school will receive a "Desktop
publishing system." (Does my Colt Commander qualify for a desktop
publishing system, or just a lousy XT?)

For more information, the number (617) 542-1234 is given, and an e-mail
address of 73544,3341@compuserve.com.

Glad to see computer trade magazines are doing what they can to get
weapons off the streets. ;-)
