Col. Robert K. Brown (Ret.) Editor/Publisher, Soldier Of Fortune Magazine Member of the NRA Board of Directors Once again, I'm endorsing a slate of candidates running for the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association. Why? Because I'm an independant thinking curmudgeon who has never totally endorsed the recommendations of the nominating committee, even when I served on said committee three years ago. I'm endorsing a number of individuals who are running for the Board by petition simply because I disagree with the nominating committee's recommendations. I've been on the Board for some 10 years and I have worked with and personally know most of the individuals I'm supporting. They are all eminent in their particular fields of expertise, have demonstrated the ability to best guide the NRA in these perilous times and most effectively promote what I consider to be the main objective of the NRA - to protect our Second Amendment rights. These still are perilous times. Though we won a magnificent victory on 8 November, we cannot rest on our laurels; we cannot expect the swine and charlatans who represent the anti-gun lobby to fold up their tents and crawl quietly back into the sewers. If you are eligible to vote in the Board elections, you will receive a ballot in your copy of the American Rifleman or the American Hunter, which you should receive in the latter part of February. For further information on the individuals I'm supporting, consult the biographies in the ballot issue. In any case, if you are seriously interested in protecting your gun rights and the future effectiveness of the NRA, do yourself a favor and vote!
