[The Roberti Recall is not the last election - it's the NEXT election
and there's another soon afterwards. In many places, the primary is
more important than the general because certain places only elect
Repubs, so their candidate will get elected, while certain other
places only elect Demos. CA's primaries are currently in June. Some
states have already had their primaries - one of the most anti-gun
members of the House Judiciary committee was knocked out in a Texas
primary.]

The April 1 issue of Gun Week contained an advert for the "CCW Sheriff
PAC". The "message" part of the ad says:
These candidates will issue CCW permits if elected sheriff so that we
can legally protect ourselves from gang punks and dangerous criminals.
	Mark Tyndale - Sacramento County
Robert Lewis - Los Angeles County
Hal Grant - San Bernadino County
	Bonnie Streeter - Orange County
Californians who contribute $10 or more will receive a list of pro-gun
candidates for sheriff in their county who will issue CCW permits.

The address is:
    CCW Sheriff PAC
    P.O. Box 11117	(yes, FOUR 1s followed by a 7)
    Glendale, CA 91206

The primary elections are in June, so "affect the election" money
arrives before May 1.

The FPPC ID is 940055, Sam Wells, Treasurer.

ps - I'm not affiliated with them and haven't even had the advert long
enough to decide whether or not I'm sending money.

Unfortunately, Bonnie has been disqualified for the election, and Gates is
running unopposed.

She has not had the LE training that CA law requires according to the judge who
disqualified her. Her rant at her hearing showed a lack of coherent thought
and restraint, IMNSHO, and I probably would prefer our corrupt, but efficient
and restrained incumbent to her. There is no guarantee she would keep this
campaign promise anyway.

Sorry,
	Royce
