All pamphlets have been cleared by the authors for use at gun shows and for uploading to pro-gun web sites. 2. The Australia cards and "Al Gore's Gun Positions" (Not "The Al Gore Agenda") are NOT copyright and may be used in any manner. 3. These PDFs were test printed on both a HP 932 and Canon S450. 4. We suggest you get "Gun Facts by Guy Smith" (http://www.keepandbeararms.com/images/gunfacts.pdf) and print up a few of these too. General IMPORTANT: Please pass this .ZIP file to all gun sites that you know of. It is urgent that every gun owner know of Al Gore's gun positions. We first passed these out at a gun show in Portland Oregon. We went around the show offering a small pile of the two Al Gore pamphlets and the Australia cards to one exhibitor in each section of the show - only about 5% refused them, MOST were all smiles and glad someone is doing something. Several said that they intended to make their own copies for other shows. We also placed them on any empty tables that we found. You should also see if the show sponsor is willing to pass them out at the do or. Printing Instructions. When printing masters on an inkjet printer, select normal or best mode to get the best reproduction. But if your are printing multiple copies for distribution with your ink jet, choose draft mode for speed and to save ink. Australia card: Print same page on both sides. Hold up to light and be sure that there is about 1/4 inch clear between each card before printing many. Cut into 8 separate cards. We had these printed on ordinary paper for $.035 per page at our local office supply (about 1/2 cent each after cutting apart). We produced a single sheet master and instructed them to print on both sides. Carefully check a sample before letting them print the whole batch. The printer should be able to cut them for about $1 per cut, or $4 for all four cuts. We also printed some on our printer and they registered perfectly in the vertical direction but the horizontal registration was off until we adjusted the little slider that pushes the paper sideways against the guide - we had too much slop in our feed tray. After adjustment the registration was perfect. Check all edges of the master as we had some problems with the last two letters of long lines being cut off. We believe that this problem was in the preparation of the PDF and is cured, but be careful Tri folds: Print one page on each side. Fold in 3 equal panels. Check that the lettering is clear of the folds. If using a copy center, print your masters on one sheet for each side - two sided printouts tend to have the other side show through and don't print well at some copy centers. Al Gore Billboard: This is a sign intended to attract attention to a pile of the pamphlets when left on a literature table, perhaps in the front lobby. We printed this on 9 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 by using the 3x3 print function found in recent HP and Canon printers (and perhaps others). We then mounted it to a 20"x30" foam board starting at the top left, using a glue stick, and trimmed the right edge and bottom (3x3 is too big for the board so we left a wide right margin and bottom). If you don't know if your printer can do large posters, explore your printer driver by clicking on "properties" (in the box that come up when you choose print) and look for things like poster, billboard or banner printing. At least two brands allow you to print a single document spread over 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 sheets which are combined into a poster of about 16x22, 25x33 and 34x44 (minus a few inches for trimming before combining) On Double Sided Printing: Choose the first page as a single page to print, set the number of copies you want to make and print the first side. Then take the stack of printed paper from the output tray and put it back in the feed tray and print the other side. Some printers require you put the stack face down and others face up so experiment. Print only ONE COPY of the second side and test fold it (or cut in the case of the Australia cards) to be sure it is printed correctly before printing the full batch. Some printers have a double sided print mode which will automate this process.
