The hearing will begin at 10:00 AM in room 2141 of the Rayburn House Office Building. Testimony will be given before the House sub-committee on crime chaired by Congressman Bill McCollum. Testimony will be given by the following people who used firearms to save their lives and the lives of others: Bryan Rigsby from Newnan, Georgia -- Mr. Rigsby defended himself and a friend at their campsite from two shotgun wielding assailants. David Joo from Los Angeles, California -- Mr. Joo is a Korean merchant who defended himself and his business, a firearms store, during the Los Angeles riots. Travis Neel from Katy, Texas -- Mr. Neel came to the aid of a deputy sheriff that was shot four times during a routine traffic stop. Mr. Neel used his semi-automatic handgun to ward off the attackers, saving the deputy's life. Gary Baker from Richmond, Virginia -- Mr. Baker and two of his employees defended themselves from two would be robbers. One of the attackers had a criminal record dating back to 1942. Charmaine Klaus from Waterford, Michigan -- Mrs. Klaus used a handgun to wound an assailant who had shot and killed a clerk in her store. Phil Murphy from Tucson, Arizona -- When an intruder broke into his parents' home he was able to hold the intruder at bay until police arrived. Mr. Murphy is confined to a wheel-chair because he suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. Todd Bridges from Wichita, Kansas -- Mr. Bridges defended himself and the business he manages from a repeat offender, out of prison on parole.
