SELF Magazine is continuing the debate throughout the month of August via the Internet. Here's how it will work. According to SELF, the article has been posted and a debate opened under the title Firearms Conference on THE WELL, a bay area service with 8,000 subscribers. SELF thinks there will be some questioning of the data on both sides. NRA creates responses the first week, HCI the second, NRA the third, and HCI will close out the fourth week. The last day of the month, both Tanya Metaksa and Sarah Brady will make closing statements. If you subscribe to THE WELL or know someone who does, here's an opportunity to pose questions or share stories which will show why gun control only affects the law-abiding citizen and not the criminal. If you are not a subscriber to THE WELL, you may still be able to take part in the debate. SELF's interactive editor, Cassandra Markum Nelson, tells us THE WELL has a trial period and that the fee for that is small, along the line of $10. The first four hours are free, then subscribers start paying an hourly fee. The voice number for THE WELL is (415) 332-4335. Thank you. NRA Public Affairs, 703-267-3820
