As the Speaker will be making the rounds this summer for his book tour, I suggest others do the same. Will Flagg Letter to Gingrich: To: GEORGIA6@HR.HOUSE.GOV Subject: Your visit to Nashua Fish & Game this weekend Cc: flagg Hon. Newt Gingrich 6th Congressional District, Georgia Rm. 2428 Rayburn House Office Building Washington, DC 20515 Dear Mr. Speaker I look forward to meeting you this weekend. I am a member of Nashua Fish & Game and a participant in the DCM program here. I wish to encourage you to continue to demonstrate leadership in Washington. You can imagine the extreme disappointment we felt when we saw Senator Bob Dole torpedo freedom once again as he pushed Schumer's socalled 'anti-terrorism bill'. To make it worse he had the willing support of Senator Phil Gramm. Just because someone the government is suspicious of visits my home does not instantly make me a criminal and void my constitutional rights to protection against warrantless search and seizure. Nor does it make sense to allow Bill Clinton to continue the meltdown of surplus World War II M1 Garands when law abiding US citizens, many of whom have served their country in it's time of need, are willing to pay to use them for competition shooting such as we do here at Nashua Fish & Game. We also saw that these same Senators approve of using the military to police US citizens inspite of it's unconstitutionality. Our military is for war, it is not for policing anybody whether on our soil or any other place like Bosnia either. While there are many issues we might choose to disagree on, please be assured that Americans respect those who keep their word and don't change course with every blowing wind. Please continue your efforts to reign in the deficit, and protect our freedoms fought so hard for by our fore fathers. My children and the many others who will be in attendance on Saturday will be excited at they see all the helicopters land. But as they grow older they will hopefully remember that our country was at a crossroad, and tough decisions had to be made, but leaders arose who let their yes mean yes, and their no mean no, they feared their Creator and disaster was averted. Respectfully, Willard Flagg Nashua New Hampshire
