Once buyers are cleared, no backup copies of check data are required or desirable, and they are in fact expressly prohibited under the Brady Act. If the government will not abide by the laws, what example and precedent does that set for the people at large? Clearly now is not the time to be disarming Americans or in any way restricting or obstructing their access to the means of self, community and national defense. Especially with attacks on our home soil, access to the means of safe and effective defense should not be impeded. The American people are well aware of this; as you may know ammunition sales are up about 400%, and sales of arms and other emergency supplies are up also. Thank you for speaking out in favor of the Bill of Rights and in particular the Second Amendment. Please consider taking administrative action to correct past and current abuses and to preserve our fundamental rights. Their wisdom and importance are ever more apparent. In Liberty, Jeff Chan
