To: firearms-politics@onet2.cup.hp.com, fap@world.std.com According to a front page article in today's Salem Statesman Journal newspaper, the estimate number of licenses to carry a concealed handgun in Oregon are up from 28,359 statewide in September of 1992 to 50,529+ in June of 1994 (exact numbers not available because not all counties computerize their permits) -- the Statesman Journal's overall estimate is 50,500 permits statewide.
