Up for a second time before the Assembly Public safety Committee is Assemblyman Pete Knight's AB 638, a bill which would reform California's CCW issuance policies and place it in line with the likes of Florida and Virginia, two states with highly-successful concealed carry laws. Armed with a commitment from the Speaker's office to place an additional pro-gun vote on the committee, the bill should sail out and head to its next destination, the Assembly Appropriations Committee. The eventual passage of AB 638 is seen as a definite step in the right direction for all pro-gun legislation currently languishing in the Assembly committee.
