Date: Mon, 7 Aug 95 01:28:27 PDT From: ArmedAndSafe@tomlinson.com To: [firearms-alert@shell.portal.com] Subject: (CA) Weekly Legislative Alert 8/7/95 August 7, 1995 Armed and Safe News Service LEGISLATIVE FAX ALERT Things are rather quiet for now, but, never fear, they will find some new ways to restrict us soon enough. ************************************** We received word from the Gadsden Militia that the FBI is attempting to get the original recordings of the "Good Ole Boys" debauchery in Ocoee, Tennessee, which shows illegal and racist activity by certain federal agents. The incident is presently under investigation by the Justice Department, to find out if any Justice Department agents violated Justice Department rules at a party for Justice Department agents. The Gadsden Militia infiltrated the party and recorded blatant and rampant racism. Jeff Randall, the Gadsden Militia leader, was furnishing copies to the videotapes and photographs to all interested parties and cooperating with Justice Department investigators, when he was suddenly presented with an "administrative summons" requiring him to turn over the original of the videotape. Citing concerns over the security of the evidence, Randall refused to give the tape to Chattanooga, Tennessee federal agents. Chattanooga Federal agents have threatened to get a federal order to arrest Randall if he does not turn over the tapes. One agent was taped as saying there was "no room for negotiation." CBS presented an a few seconds of news on the story late last week, after which there has been silence on the subject from the media. The Gadsden Minutmen Militia is on "alert" and there are reports that the Ohio Militia has sent units to Randall's home in Gadsden, Alabama. Reports from the Alabama State Troopers indicate that they might intervene, if necessary, to "prevent a Waco in Alabama." ************************************** The portions of the following which appear in parentheses are my comments. My comments will always end with -ecr. ************************************** Those of you reading this on internet in rec.guns can tune in to talk.politics.guns (t.p.g.) to get the following California bill information.
