If you are familiar with any of these types of programs, we would appreciate either your full participation in this survey if you are in law enforcement, or a brief description of any local firearm suppression strategies with which you are familiar, answering as many of the following questions as are applicable but particularly question 3. Please provide your answers typewritten, on a separate sheet of paper. Please describe the strategy/program within your department for combatting or suppressing firearms, including answers to the following: A. What are the key components of the strategy/program? B. Toward what type of activity is your strategy/program targetted? (ie., trafficking, licensing of dealers or purchasers, gangs, etc..) C. Which components have been particularly effective and why? D. How long has the program been in operation? If still under development, approximately when will it be implemented? E. If your strategy/program has produced any quantifiable results to date, please provide a description of those results? F. How is your firearms program funded? Locally, State, Federally, or some combination? G. Is your strategy modeled after that of another city or state? If so, which city or State? H. Is your strategy/program part of a multijurisdictional effort? I.
