The Educational Fund and the manual itself were highlighted on a recent episode of the Crusaders television program. Along with documenting the Educational Fund's work, the Crusaders showcased Julie Elseroad of Enough is Enough and the work of Mothers Against Violence in America. [emotionalism at its best!] Saturday evening of the conference weekend, over one hundred of the conference participants gathered in front of the White House to protest the easy availability of firearms. The protest lasted 38 minutes with each minute representing 1,000 American Victims of gun violence. Participants marched single file with lighted candles in front of the White House. When they reached the point where Francisco M. Duran sprayed his assault weapon at the White House on October 29, 1994, the marchers snuffed out their candles. Interfaith Service. The conference will be convented by The Educational Fund to End Handgun Violence, The Episcopal Diocese of Washington, and The Interfaith Health Program of the Carter Center in Atlanta. Children's Safety Network is a group of six organizations funded by the federal maternal and Child Health Bureau to assist states and others to prevent child and adolescent injuries. Several of the CSNcenters have issued publications recently which address firearms. CSN National Injury and Violence Prevention Center at the National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health offers: "Firearm Facts": Information on gun violence and its prevention, is a folder containing eight fact sheets on topics such as: Youth homicide and guns, youth suicide and guns, unintentional gun deaths among children, guns in schools, and gun sales. "Gun Dealers USA" is a 12-page brochure which offers information on how you can find out how many gun dealers and stores are in your community, and a chart indicating the geographical distribution of licensed gun dealers for each state, relative to the population of people under the age 25.
