Date: Sat, 8 Apr 1995 02:19:00 -0700 From: Jeff Chan To: firearms-alert Subject: ACTION: Repeal bill HR 1488: get Congressmembers to support! It is crucial that you contact your Congress members and urge them to support HR 1488. This new bill introduced today by pro-rights leaders in the House would repeal the gun and magazine bans. Note that Congress is on Easter recess from now until the end of April so they're coming back to their district. You may want to contact your House member and Senators' local offices to see if you can meet with them personally. These kinds of meetings can be very beneficial if you are friendly and polite, but firm and prepared to answer questions. They like to hear from you and there's no substitute for personally letting them know how you feel and getting a response you can refer to later. No matter how you do it, let them know you want your rights back!
