ACTION ITEM from Jeff Chan:  The November elections are less
than 10 weeks away.  If you want maximal payback, the MOST
POWERFUL thing you can do is to help out at a pro-gun election 
campaign.  Actually stuffing envelopes, working phone banks,
putting up yard signs, getting people to the polls, handing
out pamphlets, walking precincts are *easy* & show the pro-gun 
candidate exactly where their support comes from.  The next
time a piece of gun legislation comes up you can bet they'll
remember who helped put them in office.  If you can't spare 
the time, send money, but working the campaigns & getting 
pro-gun buddies to do so also is by far the most effective,
powerful, and direct action you can take to get your rights 
back.

If you're in a place where pro-gunners are scarce, look for
other races.  In CA, the State Controller's race is CRITICAL.
Former Assemblyman Tom McClintock is a long-term, 100% pro-gun 
(libertarian) Republican.  As controller, he would have 
immense control over what parts of government get funded and 
which don't.  He is intellectually and ethically opposed 
Democrat Big (Momma) Government, including firearms prohibition.

If Clinton's Crime Bill doesn't get you involved in your
political system, you're a coward.  Do something positive.
Make the biggest difference this November by getting 
inside the system and reprogramming it.  It's surprisingly 
easy and immensely rewarding.
