Joe is running with a Lawrence deputy mayor Teti on the Republican ticket for the NJ Assembly, 15th district. Joe Constance is currently Deputy Chief of Police for Trenton, NJ, and is head of criminal investigation there. He came up through the ranks on his way to that position. Joe epitomizes the rank-and-file policeman in his disdain for gun control and in his support for the citizens' right to keep and bear arms. Constance testified in 1990 against Florio's scary-looking-gun ban, and caught hell from his superiors for it. Despite that, he also testified against a similar ban in Delaware and is credited with killing that ban with his testimony. Constance has also made himself available in the past with as little as 30 minutes notice to testify against gun control legislation in the NJ legislature. Constance is an outspoken critic of gun control and an outspoken proponent in favor of the right to keep and bear arms. If elected, he's the man to challenge the Assembly vocally and publically on gun control, and he's the man to push our agenda. I know you've been told that by politicians in the past who failed to deliver, but how many of *them* write for _Guns & Ammo_? Any of you doubting Constance should check out his column in that magazine. This is THE most important election in New Jersey this year for us. Even if you're not in Joe's district, I urge you to support him if you can, both financially and with volunteer work if feasible (and yes, I'll be putting my money where my mouth is).
