These free programs are designed to motivate activists at the local and state level by providing training in the mechanics of organization, membership recruiting, direct lobbying, funding, dealing with the media, and networking. Instructors include: Alan M. Gottlieb, chairman of CCRKBA and founder of SAF; Joseph P. Tartaro, president of SAF and editor of The New Gun Week; John M. Snyder, public affairs director for CCRKBA; Peggy Tartaro, editor of Women and Guns magazine; Ed Worley, NRA grassroots coordinator; Roberty Ricker, California lobbyist for CCRKBA and ASSC; Glen Voorhees, NRA director and Western Field Editor for Gun Week; Ken Jacobson, executive director of CCRKBA, and James Kieland, grassroots coordinator for CCRKBA.
